Bedroom Transformation

The new bedroom was the old sitting area.  Solid bamboo flooring was put in and new window casing, baseboards and trim were added.  A new light fixture and coat of paint and presto, a new room!

 I used to able to hear everything from upstairs.  Now, the noise and footsteps are barely noticeable.

The Great Wall

This is the wall where the old kitchen used to be.  It has since been destroyed, rebuilt, insulated, vapour barriered and dry walled.

  

The Sky's Fallen

This is the last bit of demo.  I decided to tear down the whole ceiling and start afresh.  Plaster and lathe is messy business, topped by the unexpected find of a rat`s nest.  Luckily this house is in such disrepair that even the rats had left for greener pastures.

This is the new wall between the bathroom and kitchen, all wired up, with plumbing in, ready to go.
